I have been spending the past months searching for prime development land areas in Natal and now have
around 25 parcels ranging from 13-130hectares.All are located in rapidly expanding regions of the cities outskirts and most are in close proximity to the new international airport(due to open in 3 years time)
Natal has seen massive growth in popular housing projects,gated condominiums and high rise apartment buildings over the past 3-4 years as the Brazilian lower/middle and upper classes have spent and invested in force..Most of the growth has occurred in the suburban areas south of the city,particularly in Parnamirim and Nova Parnamirim where the urban skyline is unrecognizable from that of only a few year ago.
Prices for raw land have increased over 500% and new developments with 1000`s of units are sprouting up all over the place. Landplots sell for anything between 20,000reals and 200,000reals
We now see the same phenomenon starting off in traditionally rural areas as the metropolis spreads north.
Macaiba,Sao Goncalo do Amarante and Extremoz are showing strong signs of residential expansion and all fall in the catchment area of the huge new airport being built close-by.This area will become a tax free zone for businesses looking to utilize the cargo facilities of the airport.Tens of thousands of workers will be drawn to this strategic area in the coming years and lots more affordable housing will be needed to accommodate the population growth.

Capital outlay for developing plots only;approx; 7million reals
Price per plot on sale; R$25,000 (Net profit; R$20million)
There is also an option to build low-cost homes on a portion/all of the land.Buyers have access to bank loans and are still queuing up for good quality developments in Natal right now ;
Cost to build a popular/low-income house R$30,000
Sales price for a popular/low-income house;R75,000
