Brazil Beach House in 2011 so far....Property sales on the beaches of Natal,Brazil

2 months into the new year and the Brazilian Carnival is upon us,signalling a raucous finale to yet another great summer.

The best thing here in Natal though is that the summer never really ends!!We have sunshine all year round with average temperature of 27 degrees so it never gets cold.T-shirt and shorts 365days per year!

Brazil Beach House has got off to a flier in 2011.We have closed two beachfront sales from last year,organized a renovation project for an oceanfront villa,sealed another house building contract with our swedish client and are selling an apartment in Ponta Negra(Natal`s premier beach resort)land in Genipabu(where we live)and 2 beachfront homes to a spanish guy,our biggest sale this year so far!

Realestate market in Natal,RN,Brazil for 2011

Summer is here in Natal,Brazil!

We are looking forward to another bumper summer season with packed beaches,hotels booked to capacity,and months of unadulterated sunshine all the way up to Carnival in March and beyond.

The future of this city and Brazil in general is looking very bright indeed but what are the main developments expected for the city and local property market here in Natal,Rio Grande do Norte?

Let`s start with the 2 main drivers for longer term property growth.....

World Cup 2014

The existing football stadium(Machadao)will be knocked down in March to make way for a brand new 45,000 seater arena to host games for the 2014 tournament.The surrounding area will be transformed into a business park with shopping malls,hotel complex and governmental offices.The impact on Natal city with its accompanying infrastructural improvements will be substantial.This is the biggest thing to hit the city since the 2nd world war and It`s kicking off now!

New international airport 2013

The runway has been completed.Terminal construction will begin in the coming months of 2011 and the project has to be operational 1 year before the world cup so the state of Rio Grande do Norte will have a massive new airport that will serve as a hub for transatlantic travel and commerce.This is arguably of more importance than the world cup to the local economy as it is here to stay and will greatly enhance the tourist/export industries for many years to come.

These 2 projects of international stature will only give more impetus to the very strong domestic growth in the property market,seen of late.There has been a boom in high-rise condominium buildings for the middle/upper class Brazilian market over the past 2-3 years and more recently,1000`s of new houses built for lower-income families as part of the federal government's re-housing policies.

Brazilians have never had it so good and the good times are set to continue throughout 2011!
